The shopping area is centred along the main Burnley Road, with a Pioneer store on Sowerby Street and a Kwik Save on Lune Street. Convenience stores are located on Burnley Road, and Church Street. Wines and Spirits can be purchased either at the Supermarkets or at Victoria Wine on Burnley Road. Several Newsagents are dotted around the town.

Chemists tend to be located in the centre of Padiham near to the Medical Centre and Town Hall. Hairdressers are located in various locations around the town.

Other shops in the area cover a vast range of goods to suit all tastes.
